Job summary

MSD of Shakamak in Indiana is seeking substitute teachers to support grades 7–12, providing instructional continuity and a positive, respectful learning environment during teacher absences.

Qualifications

• Must meet Indiana substitute teacher requirements and hold or be eligible for an Indiana Substitute Teacher Permit.
• High School diploma required; additional education preferred in accordance with Indiana Department of Education licensing requirements.
• Strong classroom management and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work effectively with middle and high school students.
• Successful completion of required background checks.

• Supervise students throughout the school day and during assigned duties.

• Provide feedback for the regular classroom teacher regarding student progress and classroom activities.
• Follow district policies regarding safety, confidentiality, and student supervision.
