Job summary

Boys Town is seeking a Substitute Teacher in Duncan, NE to provide instruction when the regular teacher is unavailable. Starting pay is $180 per full day, or $190 per full day if teaching in the same classroom for 10+ days, with on-call shifts Monday–Friday during daytime hours.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited school is required.
• Nebraska Teaching Certificate or Nebraska Substitute Teacher Certificate or Local Substitute Teacher Certificate is required.
• PEM, CPR and personal restraint model must be obtained if subbing in RTC or select settings.
• CPR and personal restraint certification is required in select settings.

• Supervise and support students in classroom and school settings.
• Maintain accurate records and communicate effectively with staff and families.

What You’ll Be Doing:

Who We’re Looking For:

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited school required.
• Current Nebraska Teaching Certificate or Nebraska Substitute Teacher Certificate or a Local Substitute Teacher Certificate required.
• PEM, CPR and nationally recognized personal restraint model must be obtained if subbing in the RTC or select settings required.
• CPR and personal restraint certification (required in select settings)
• Background and experience to include work with learning disabled and behaviorally impaired learners preferred.
• Special Education endorsement preferred.
