Job summary

LifeWise Academy is seeking substitute teachers to demonstrate excellence in biblical teaching and strong communication. The role requires active church participation, caring and perceptive classroom presence, and proficiency in teaching students using LifeWise materials.

Responsibilities include completing substitute training, delivering LifeWise lessons, maintaining a safe classroom, recording attendance, and communicating with teachers and volunteers to support the program's goals.

Qualifications

• Proven ability to communicate clearly with students, parents and staff.
• Strong interpersonal skills for classroom collaboration.
• Active participation in a local church with beliefs aligned to LifeWise Academy.

Responsibilities

• Complete substitute teacher training.
• Teach LifeWise classes on an as-needed basis.
• Implement the LifeWise curriculum as provided by the teacher.
• Maintain a safe, organized, and stimulating classroom per LifeWise policies.
• Follow the program's student discipline policy.
• Maintain attendance records and share with the teacher.
• Keep the classroom clean and well-ordered and know emergency procedures.
• Act as a LifeWise Academy ambassador within the community.
• Communicate lesson plans with volunteers before class and assign duties.
• Communicate with the teacher about class progress.
