Job summary

Easterseals Florida is seeking a Substitute Teacher Assistant to join The School for Limitless Learning, a play-based program for neurodiverse children. This on-call role supports the lead teachers during absences and high client census, helping create a nurturing environment.

Hours are 7:00 am–5:30 pm, Monday–Friday on an as-needed basis; compensation is $17.50 per hour with benefits and staff discounts.

Qualifications

• National Early Childhood Credential (CDA/NECC).
• Successful completion of the Florida Department of Children & Families 45-hour Child Care Training in early childhood education.
• Current CPR and First Aid certification.

Responsibilities

• Provide a positive, safe, stimulating, and inclusionary learning environment.
• Assist in implementing age-appropriate curriculum and activities.
• Assist in recognizing, adapting teaching strategies, and addressing the individual needs of each child.
• Collaborate with the lead educator to maintain open and effective communication with parents and families.

This is an as-needed position (not a full time position) to fill in during staff absence, staff vacations, and in times of high client census.

Work hours will be scheduled between 7:00 am to 5:30 pm, Monday through Friday (on an as-needed basis).
