Job summary

Burke County Public Schools, Georgia is seeking a substitute teacher to cover classes in the absence of the regular classroom teacher, assisting students with daily tasks and supporting understanding of the subject matter.

You will report to the school office for materials, carry out lesson plans, supervise students, maintain a respectful learning environment, document attendance and incidents, and follow district rules and confidentiality requirements.

• Take attendance according to school procedures.
• Be positive and respectful in interactions with students and staff.
• Maintain a neat and orderly classroom.
• Comply with district and school rules and expectations.
• Perform related duties as assigned by administrators.

• Take attendance in accordance with the school procedures.

• Maintain a neat and orderly classroom.
• Comply with the rules and expectations of the district and school.
• Maintain confidentiality of all information concerning staff, students and/or parents/ guardians.
• Perform all other related duties as assigned by the building administrator(s) in accordance with the school and district practices.
