Job summary

Qualifications

  • Substitute teaching certificate, permit, or eligibility as required by state regulations.
  • Previous experience working with children or youth is preferred.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to follow written lesson plans and instructions.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and professionalism.
  • Flexible, dependable, and adaptable to changing assignments.

Responsibilities

  • Take attendance and maintain accurate records as required.
  • Communicate relevant information regarding student progress, behavior, or concerns to the regular teacher and administration.

  • Follow all school procedures related to safety, emergency protocols, and confidentiality.
  • Collaborate professionally with school staff and administrators.

Position Summary

The Substitute Teacher is responsible for maintaining a productive learning environment in the absence of the regular classroom teacher. This role follows lesson plans, manages classroom behavior, supports student learning, and ensures the safety and well-being of all students while adhering to school policies and procedures.
