Job summary

Padua Franciscan High School is seeking flexible, compassionate individuals to serve as substitute teachers for the current school year. Positions are part-time and on-call to meet daily staffing needs at our Parma, OH campus.

Applicants should hold a Bachelor's degree, possess a substitute teaching license or a valid teaching license, and complete Virtus certification. Background checks (BCI & FBI) within the last 12 months on file with the Ohio Department of Education are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required
• Virtus certification preferred or obtainable,
• Substitute Teaching License or valid teaching license required
• BCI & FBI background checks dated within the past 12 months and on file with the Ohio Department of Education

Responsibilities

• Serve as a substitute teacher as needed for classes
• Support classroom management and instruction in accordance with school policies
• Coordinate with regular teachers to transition students back to their schedules

Requirements:

• Virtus Certification (which can be obtained through Padua)


• Bachelor’s degree in any field of study


• BCI & FBI background checks (dated within the past 12 months & on file with the Ohio Department of Education)


• Substitute Teaching License or Copy of Teaching License

Note: Cost to obtain a substitute license is $25 and payment is made directly to the Ohio Department of Education
