Substitute Teacher
Bishop Leibold School is seeking a supportive, collaborative, and dedicated Substitute Teacher to assist teachers and support students in a positive Catholic learning environment. The successful candidate will uphold and model the Catholic identity of the school while helping students succeed academically, socially, and spiritually.
Responsibilities include supervising students during lunch, recess, class transitions, and other activities; implementing classroom tasks and lessons; supporting small groups of students; and providing accommodations as directed by the classroom teacher. Candidates should demonstrate professionalism, initiative, strong communication skills, and a commitment to student safety and confidentiality.

Preferred Qualifications

Position Details

• Part-time, non-exempt position; months vary.
• Reports to the Principal.
• Must be able to stand, sit, and walk for extended periods; occasionally lift and carry up to 25 pounds; and bend and reach as needed.
• Must be able to communicate effectively with students, teachers, and parents and use a computer, telephone, and other office equipment.

Requirements

Substitute teachers are expected to maintain the confidentiality of student and family information, demonstrate ethical and professional conduct, submit weekly timesheets, and complete other duties as assigned by the Principal or classroom teacher. Substitute teachers must also maintain any additional certifications, such as a State of Ohio Substitute license, as determined by the principal or program leader.
