Job summary

Casey County School District is seeking a Substitute Teacher in Liberty, Kentucky to support the Instruction department. The role requires following the regular teacher’s lesson plans, maintaining classroom discipline, and signing in at the main office on arrival. The position reports to the Principal and is part of ongoing district operations.

Position Title: Teacher, Substitute

Department: Instruction

Reports To: Principal

Approved By: Casey County Board of Education Date: February, 2016

SUMMARY: To help students learn subject matter and skills that will contribute to their development as mature, able, and responsible men and women.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Other duties may be assigned.

• Observe the same hours of duty as the regular teacher.
• Observe the rules and regulations of the school.
• Upon arrival, report to the main office to sign a log-in sheet and receive instructions.
• Follow the lesson plans, left by the regular teacher, as closely as possible in order to have no interruptions in the content.
• Maintain discipline in the classroom and supervisory areas.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES: Supervises classroom and students.
