LifeWise Academy is seeking a part-time substitute teacher to support LifeWise classes on an as-needed basis in Ohio. The role focuses on delivering LifeWise curriculum, maintaining a positive classroom environment, and adhering to LifeWise policies.

The ideal candidate will demonstrate a mature Christian faith, active church participation, and strong communication and interpersonal skills. Responsibilities include training, attendance, discipline, and collaboration with teachers and volunteers.

Responsibilities

• Complete substitute teacher training
• Teach LifeWise classes on an as-needed basis
• Implement the LifeWise curriculum provided by the teacher
• Maintain a safe, organized and stimulating classroom environment
• Follow the program's student discipline policy
• Take attendance in each class and provide attendance records to the teacher
• Maintain a clean, attractive and well-ordered classroom
• Know procedures for emergency situations
• Act as a LifeWise Academy ambassador within the community
• Communicate lesson plans with volunteers before class and assign duties
• Communicate with the teacher

LifeWise substitute teachers will demonstrate excellence in Biblical knowledge and teaching abilities. The ideal candidate is an active church participant with excellent communication and interpersonal skills who is caring, perceptive and proficient in teaching students.

Qualifications and Experience

• Active participation in and commitment to a local church whose doctrine aligns with the "What We Believe" section of the LifeWise Academy Statement of Faith
