LifeWise Academy seeks substitute teachers who are active church participants with strong communication and interpersonal skills. The ideal candidate demonstrates a mature Christian faith aligned with LifeWise beliefs and can engage students with care and clarity.

Responsibilities include completing substitute training, teaching LifeWise classes as needed using the provided curriculum, maintaining a safe, organized classroom, following the discipline policy, and taking attendance.

Qualifications

• A mature personal Christian faith in agreement with LifeWise Academy Statement of Faith.
• Active participation in and commitment to a local church whose doctrine aligns with LifeWise Academy Statement of Faith.

Responsibilities

• Complete substitute teacher training.
• Teach LifeWise classes on an as-needed basis using provided curriculum.
• Maintain a safe, organized and stimulating classroom environment following LifeWise policies and procedures.
• Follow the program's student discipline policy.
• Maintain attendance records and provide them to the teacher.
• Maintain a clean, attractive and well-ordered classroom; know emergency procedures.
• Communicate lesson plans with volunteers before class and with the teacher.
• Act as a LifeWise Academy ambassador within the community.

Job Description

• Complete substitute teacher training
• Teach LifeWise classes on an as-needed basis
  • Implement the lesson plans using the LifeWise curriculum provided by the teacher
  • Maintain a safe, organized and stimulating classroom environment following LifeWise policies and procedures
  • Follow the program's student discipline policy

  • Take attendance in each class and provide attendance records to the teacher
