IMG Academy in Bradenton, Florida, is seeking a Substitute Teacher to support core curriculum delivery in a dynamic boarding school environment. The role emphasizes creating engaging lessons, maintaining records, and supporting student growth across intellectual, physical and psychological aspects.

The ideal candidate holds a Bachelor’s Degree in a relevant subject, is highly organized, and comfortable using technology to adapt lessons for diverse learners.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in relevant subject area.
• Highly organized; flexible in meeting the needs of boarding students and their families.
• Ability to create lesson plans to meet the needs of diverse student population.
• Technologically savvy and proficient with educational technology.
• Florida Level 2 Background Screening is required.

Responsibilities

• Provide an educational atmosphere for students to reach their intellectual, physical, and psychological growth.
• Create and implement instructional activities for meaningful learning experiences.
• Update and maintain records as required by laws and school policies.
• Identify and adapt instructional resources for diverse backgrounds and needs.
• Maintain classroom discipline according to school rules and policies.
• Communicate effectively with students, parents, and colleagues.

Position Summary

Core content curriculumcreation, implementation and delivery in the classroom

Key Responsibilities

Responsible for providing an educational atmosphere where students have the opportunity to fulfill their potential for intellectual, physical and psychological growth

Creates and implements instructional activities that contribute to a climate where students are actively engaged inmeaningful learning experiences

Update and maintain all necessary records accurately and completely as required by laws, district policies and school regulations

Identifies , selects, and modifies instructional resources to meet the needs of the students with varying backgrounds, learning styles, and special needs

Maintainsdiscipline in accordance with the rules and disciplinary systems of the school

Communicates effectively, bothverballyand in writing, with students, parents, and other professionals on a regular basis.

Models professional and ethical standards when dealing with students, parents, peers, and community.

Ensures that student growth and achievement is continuous and appropriate for age group, subject area, and/or program classification.

Communicatesnecessary information regularly to students, colleagues and parents regarding student progress and student needs

Adheres to all company policies, procedures and business ethic codes

Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

Bachelor’s Degree in relevant subject area

Technologically savvy

Preferred Qualifications

Master’s degree in relevant subject area

Former student athlete

International education experience

Experience working with student athletes

NCAA, Compliance experience
