Job summary

Plain Local School District Transportation Department in Canton, Ohio is seeking a Substitute Bus Aide to support bus drivers and school staff. Responsibilities

• Assist bus driver and staff in line with student IEP.
• Help students with disabilities on/off the bus using lifts or adapters.
• Monitor students with disabilities during the ride and assist with needs.
• Assist with lifting and handling preschool and special needs children as required.
• Ensure students are safely handed to school staff or caregivers at drop-off.
• Handle wheelchair tie-down straps and safety equipment properly.
• Maintain friendly, calm interactions with students; manage occasional unruly behavior.
