Fremont RE-2 School District seeks a Substitute Small Vehicle Route Driver to transport students in district vehicles and to perform safety inspections and routine paperwork. This on-call position requires a valid license, clean driving record, and the ability to supervise students according to district policies.
Responsibilities include safe student transport, adherence to transportation laws, completion of reports, and participation in required trainings.

The Substitute Small Vehicle Route Driver safely transports students to and from school or school-related activities using district small-route vehicles in the absence of the regularly assigned driver. The substitute driver is responsible for operating district vehicles in accordance with all local, state, and federal transportation laws and district policies while maintaining a safe and orderly environment for students.
Substitute drivers are expected to demonstrate professionalism, reliability, and the ability to safely supervise and transport students.

Substitute positions are temporary, on-call, and as-needed. Assignments are determined by district transportation needs and availability and do not guarantee regular hours, ongoing assignments, or continued employment.
Typical assignments may include morning and afternoon routes, with hours varying depending on district transportation needs.
Compensation will be in accordance with the Fremont RE-2 Substitute Salary Schedule. Substitute employees are not eligible for district benefits.
