Responsibilities

• Greet and direct visitors, verify identity and purpose per Policy 9150; provide contact numbers for non-appointments.
• Monitor and authorize late arrivals for students and staff.
• Control access by monitoring entrances and ensuring security.
• Contact local law enforcement in emergencies.
• Assist with restraining students if needed (training provided).
• Preserve order and protect property.
• Monitor surveillance cameras and alert admins or law enforcement as needed.
• Ensure safety policies are followed throughout the day.
• Report significant information to administration and local law enforcement.
• Consult with administration and law enforcement on emergency plans and tech upgrades (cameras, keyless entry).
• Maintain a list of visitors who are not allowed access.
• Check exterior doors at shift start.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the Director.
