Job summary

Qualifications

• Prior experience in food preparation, serving and basic kitchen activities.
• Knowledge of health codes, sanitation and nutritional and safety requirements.
• Ability to stand for prolonged periods and lift/carry/move items.

Responsibilities

• Upholds board policies and follows administrative procedures.
• Cleans utensils, equipment and areas to maintain sanitary conditions.
• Ensures foods reach and maintain proper temperatures and logs entries for safety.
• Estimates food preparation amounts to meet meal requirements and minimize waste.
• Inspects items for quantity and compliance with health requirements.
• Prepares documentation for written information.
• Prepares food/beverage items to meet nutritional requirements.
• Responds to inquiries regarding meals and costs.
• Reports equipment malfunctions to maintain safety.
• Reports accidents or injuries to maintain a safe environment.
• Serves food items to meet nutritional requirements and requests.
• Stocks supplies to maintain quantities and security.
