Qualifications

• Must hold State of Ohio nursing license.
• Must hold School Nurse or Substitute School Nurse license issued by the Ohio Department of Education.
• Must pass BCI and FBI background check.

Responsibilities

• Conduct hearing, vision, and blood pressure screenings and refer as appropriate.
• Refer students to medical/dental care as needed.
• Maintain up-to-date health records for students.
• Assist in disease control programs and immunization compliance.
• Coordinate health programs and provide health counseling to students and parents.
• Observe ethics and maintain confidentiality of medical records and information.
