Job summary

Qualifications
- Registered Nurse or Licensed Practical Nurse with interest in school and community health.
Responsibilities
- Coordinate health screenings (vision, hearing, scoliosis, dental, lice) and ensure follow-up.
- Supervise completeness of medical examinations for preschoolers, kindergartners, athletes, and employees.
- Establish and supervise first aid facilities at each school.
- Assist with parent health education and home visits as needed.
- Coordinate programs with local health department and UK College of Nursing.
- Assist with accident reports and updating health records.
- Coordinate and conduct first aid training and sports medicine clinics.
- Advise on sanitary conditions and hygiene in schools; monitor infectious diseases.
- Provide consultation and direct services on unique health needs and conditions.
