Job summary

Nelson County Schools District Wide in Bardstown, Kentucky, seeks a Substitute Registered Nurse to provide school health services immediately. The RN/LPN will work under the Director of Nursing Services, handling acute illnesses, emergencies, and health screenings.

The role requires a current Kentucky RN/LPN license, a valid driver’s license, and BLS certification. Duties include maintaining health records, PPE usage, and compliance reporting.

Qualifications

• Hold a valid license to practice as an LPN or RN, issued under KRS 314.051 or KRS 314.041 by the Kentucky Board of Nursing.
• Hold a Valid Kentucky driver's license.
• Current BLS certification.

Responsibilities

• Provide health services to students and staff within licensed scope.
• Maintain student health records and documentation.
• Administer medications as ordered by a licensed provider and train unlicensed staff as needed.
• Coordinate care for chronic conditions and emergency plans.
• Attend staff meetings and professional development activities.
