Job summary

Reeds Spring School District is seeking a Substitute Nurse to support health services in its buildings. The candidate must hold a Licensed Practical Nurse or Registered Nurse license and maintain Basic First Aid and CPR/AED training.

Eligible applicants will submit substitute paperwork and pass a background check. The position reports to the Head Nurse, Building Principal, and Director of Operations; employment is substitute/at-will and focuses on student health, safety, and emergency procedures

Qualifications

• Valid license to practice as a Licensed Practical Nurse or Registered Nurse.
• Basic First Aid and CPR/AED training.
• Must submit all required substitute paperwork and pass background check.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrates knowledge of basic first aid and safety procedures.
• Maintains current knowledge of medications, side effects, storage, preparation and administration.
• Maintains accurate and current health information on all students to ensure timely management of records.
• Provides medical information regarding students health history to principal and staff.
