Job summary

Great Hearts Academies seeks a Substitute Registered Nurse (RN) to join the health office at Great Hearts Lakeside Lower School. The nurse provides medical assistance, health and wellness services, and must train staff on emergency use of Epinephrine, Albuterol and Narcan. Must work independently with required RN license and Arizona IVP clearance.

Qualifications

• RN license in the operating state.
• IVP fingerprint clearance in AZ.
• School nursing experience is preferred but not required.
• Must be able to work independently.

Responsibilities

• Treat minor and emergent injuries and illnesses.
• Provide emergency care to stabilize students until EMS arrives.
• Maintain immunization records and screenings.
• Dispense medications per provider/parent instructions.
• Educate students on hygiene and safety practices.
• Maintain health office operations and documentation.
