Licking Heights Local School District is seeking Substitute Health Aide(s) to support a districtwide health program and provide direct medical services to students at Pataskala, Ohio. The role requires a High School Diploma or GED and basic computer skills, with CPR/First Aid credentials updated regularly.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Basic first aid training or willingness to attend.
• Basic computer/typing qualifications.
• Ability to meet Ohio Revised Code 3309-1 standards.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
• Commitment to ethical principles and democratic values.
• Student Monitor Permit from the State Board of Education.

Responsibilities

• Maintain medical storage area secured and clinic doors locked when not in use.
• Complete annual medication administration training and district trainings.
• Keep CPR, First Aid & Communicable Disease certifications up to date.
• Dispense medications to students and maintain inventory/records.
• Support daily healthcare including G‑Tube feeding, Epinephrine pen, diabetes care, allergies.
• Assist with chronic illnesses, seizures, and concussion protocols.
• Document illnesses/injuries in health log and SIS; communicate with families.
• Maintain confidentiality of health information.
• Attend IEP/504 meetings as needed.
• Collaborate with school, home, physicians, and community agencies on health issues.
• Coordinate with district nurse in health status assessments and emergency responses.
