Job summary

Davenport Community Schools is seeking a Sub Custodian to perform custodial duties across various Davenport sites. You will clean, dust, vacuum, sanitize surfaces, and assist with supplies delivery while maintaining safe, clean environments for students and staff.

The position requires a high school diploma or GED, physical ability to lift up to 56 lbs, and ladder work. This is a full-time role with responsibilities across multiple buildings.

Qualifications

• Must be able to perform custodial tasks across multiple sites.
• Physically capable of lifting and moving supplies.
• Able to climb ladders and operate cleaning equipment.
• Understand and follow oral/written instructions.

Responsibilities

• Vacuum all areas including hard and soft surfaces.
• Reposition furniture as needed and maintain clean restrooms.
• Clean desks, tables, door handles, and glass; sanitize surfaces.
• Dust ceilings, clocks, and blinds; clean lighting fixtures.
• Remove trash and maintain equipment; report issues.
• Assist with delivery of supplies and grounds tasks as needed.
• Perform other duties as assigned by Head Custodian.
