Job summary

Fort Dodge Community School District is seeking a Substitute School Bus Driver to safely transport students to and from school and events. Under the supervision of the Director of Transportation, you will operate a school bus, perform pre-trip inspections, assist students, and follow district bus safety rules.

Qualifications include a minimum Class B CDL with passenger and air-brake endorsements and the Iowa School Bus Operator's Permit.

Qualifications

• Minimum Class B CDL with passenger, air-brake endorsement and the Iowa School Bus Operator's Permit.

Responsibilities

• Safely and reliably transports students to and from school and activities.
• Complete pre-trip/route inspections before each trip.
• Operate the bus and equipment in a safe, legal manner.
• Assist disabled students loading and unloading when needed.
• Maintain and enforce Bus-Safety Rules for riders.
• Meet contract obligations regarding attendance and punctuality.
