The role requires a high school diploma or GED, Indiana CDL with endorsements P and S, and a clean driving record. You will perform routine vehicle checks and comply with all safety and traffic regulations.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Indiana Driver’s License with P and S endorsements.
• State of Indiana Yellow Card.
• Subject to random drug and alcohol testing.
• Must complete and pass CDL physical requirements for Indiana.

Responsibilities

• Transport children to and from school.
• Pick up children along scheduled routes at the same time daily.
• Operate stop signs and flashing lights before stopping.
• Drop off children at designated locations and bus stops.
• Perform basic bus maintenance checks (tires, lights, oil).
• Follow a planned route on a time schedule and ensure students stay seated.
• Discipline unruly children and enforce conduct rules.
• Follow traffic laws and state/federal transit regulations.
• Drive to field trips and other activities as needed.
• Adhere to safety procedures to keep all kids safe.
