Qualifications

• Meets requirements set forth in Indiana Code 20-27 chapter 8.
• Meets requirements set forth in 575 Indiana Administrative Code Rule 8.
• Must pass required background checks.

Responsibilities

• Transport students safely to and from school and trips.
• Maintain school bus based on maintenance schedules.
• Report any service or mechanical issues.

Skills

Excellent communication skills

Ability to maintain composure in high stress

Knowledge of vehicle operation

Education

Indiana Commercial Driver’s License – Minimum Class B

Completion of school bus driver training
