Job summary

Liverpool Central School District seeks Substitute School Bus Drivers in a continuous recruitment process to support student transportation. You will transport students safely to school and events, and perform routine safety inspections as part of daily duties.

Required qualifications include being at least 21 years old, holding a New York State CDL, a clean driving record, and the ability to pass background and drug tests. Excellent communication with students, parents, and staff is essential.

Responsibilities

• Operate a school bus safely and efficiently in compliance with all traffic laws and district policies.
• Transport students to and from school, extracurricular activities, and special events.
• Perform pre‑ and post‑trip inspections to ensure the bus is in safe operating condition.
• Maintain order and discipline among students while on the bus.
• Communicate effectively with students, parents, and school staff regarding transportation matters.
• Follow assigned routes and schedules while adapting to road conditions and emergencies.
• Maintain accurate records, including attendance, incident reports, and vehicle maintenance logs.
