Job summary

Marysville School District 25 is seeking a Substitute Bus Driver to transport students on scheduled routes and approved activities in all weather conditions.

Candidates must have Washington State CDL with school bus endorsement, First Aid/CPR, and pass background checks; pre-approval and eligibility steps are required prior to applying. A comprehensive driving course and DMV abstract are part of the criteria.

Qualifications

• Ability to communicate effectively in writing and orally in English.
• Applicant must meet age and pre-approval requirements.
• Washington State CDL with School Bus Endorsements is required to obtain School Bus Driver authorization.
• First Aid/CPR certification is required.
• Fingerprint clearance and drug/alcohol screening are required.

Responsibilities

• Drive a school bus on scheduled routes and activities.
• Inspect and service bus and related equipment.
• Maintain safety and document records and reports.
• Complete forms, timesheets, route studies and reports.
• Attend mandatory training for school bus authorization.
• Interact professionally with students, staff and the public.
