Qualifications

• Master's degree in Education or related field.
• 1+ year of experience as an assistant principal or principal with supervisory responsibilities.
• Valid Ohio Department of Education Principal License or equivalent.
• Knowledge of accrediting and regulatory standards and district policies.
• Supervisory skills to manage daily operations and administration.
• Interpersonal skills to communicate with all levels of staff, students and public.
• Ability to handle problems tactfully and respectfully.
• Computer skills to maintain records, documents and reports.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Analytical ability to develop action plans for issues.
• Budgeting and expenditure monitoring experience.
• Demonstrated leadership as a team leader and member.

Responsibilities

• Directs day-to-day activities of building staff, including hiring, training, counseling and evaluating.
• Supervises delivery of academic instruction aligned with goals.
• Guides selection of professional development materials for educators.
• Collaborates with Area Superintendent on partnerships for educator development.
• Supervise admin staff and provide guidance to staff on instruction.
• Promotes curriculum and instruction improvements within the building.
• Monitors student achievement and progress toward goals.
• Leads development and execution of the school's ASIP plan.
• Oversees master schedule, class scheduling, and budget management.
