Job summary

Columbus City Schools in Columbus, Ohio seeks a seasoned educational administrator to lead district-wide academic support services and drive student outcomes. This role assumes responsibility for supervising curriculum development and a broad portfolio of educational initiatives, working with senior district leaders to implement the strategic plan.

Qualifications

Master’s degree required in Education or related field.
Ten+ years of progressive educational administrative experience with diverse populations.
Valid Ohio Department of Education Administrator License or equivalent; valid Driver's License.

Responsibilities

Directs operations of all areas including budgets, staffing, hiring, training, evaluation and discipline of staff.
Provides strategic leadership to create the district vision and drive the strategic plan to achieve goals.
Ensures compliance with district policies, laws and directives; initiates corrective action as necessary.
Attends BOE meetings and communicates critical academic issues to leadership bodies.
Leads the development and monitoring of curriculum and professional development aligned to state and district mandates.
Collaborates with departments to implement policies that maximize student achievement and equity.
