Job summary

Study Smart Tutors is looking for an enthusiastic Substitute Part-Time SAT Facilitator in Washington, DC. In this role, you will provide facilitation support in classroom settings and communicate with staff to ensure comprehensive learning strategies for students. A completed 4-year degree and experience in SAT Prep are mandatory.

Qualifications

• Available part-time during/after school hours, Monday to Friday.

We work with schools, non-profits, and colleges to prepare first-gen students for college and careers. Our work includes exam preparation, professional development for school staff, family workshops, and consulting.

Study Smart Tutors is a college and career access organization that collaborates with partners to promote educational equity, access, and success by providing a diverse range of tools for students, families, and educators. Our mission is grounded in closing opportunity gaps and empowering communities through high-quality, culturally responsive academic support.

We offer an array of college access courses at no cost to our students or their families. We are able to accomplish this by partnering with schools, outreach programs, and other college and career access organizations to provide efficient and effective college and career access programming and classroom-based test preparation.

• Provide facilitation support to large groups of students within a classroom setting
• Facilitators will have access to information about class assignments
• Adapt to new materials and teaching strategies
• Maintain consistent communication with Study Smart Tutors staff
• Partner with Study Smart Tutor’s Education team to provide comprehensive learning strategies to all students

QUALIFICATIONS

• MUST hold a completed 4-year degree
• Teaching or tutoring SAT Prep experience is a must.
• Schedules vary per site. Seeking part-time during/after school hours between Mondays through Fridays.
• Complete and pass a background check, which may include fingerprinting based on location.
