Job summary

Ro Health, LLC seeks Substitute Paraprofessionals and Behavior Technicians to support students across Massachusetts districts for the 2026–2027 year and beyond.

You will provide direct support, implement behavior interventions, and collaborate with educators to help students meet IEP goals in a structured, positive classroom environment.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Experience in ABA or supporting individuals with developmental needs preferred.
  • Ability to pass state and federal background checks.

Responsibilities

  • Provide direct, individualized support to students with disabilities.
  • Implement behavior interventions and strategies per IEPs and BIPs.
  • Support goals related to behavior, communication, social skills, and academics.
  • Offer one-on-one or small group support during instruction and routines.
  • Use positive reinforcement and evidence-based strategies to promote learning.
  • Collect and document data on student behavior and progress.
  • Collaborate with teachers, BCBA's, and related staff to ensure consistency.

What You’ll Do:
  • Provide direct, individualized support to students with disabilities, focusing on behavioral, social-emotional, academic, and educational development.
  • Implement individualized behavior interventions, Behavior Intervention Plans (BIPs), and strategies outlined in students’ IEPs and support plans, as directed by the supervising team.
  • Support students in achieving goals related to behavior regulation, communication, social skills, academic engagement, and independence.
  • Provide one‑on‑one or small group support during classroom instruction, learning activities, transitions, peer interactions, and daily routines.
  • Use positive reinforcement, prompting, modeling, and other evidence‑based strategies to encourage skill development and reduce challenging behaviors.
  • Collect and accurately document data related to student behavior, skill acquisition, progress, and responses to interventions.
  • Promote student independence and self-advocacy while providing appropriate support based on each student’s individual needs.
  • Assist with proactive behavior management, de‑scalation, and crisis prevention strategies in accordance with student plans and school protocols.
  • Support students with communication, social, adaptive, and daily living skills as appropriate.
  • Collaborate closely with teachers, BCBAs, special education staff, and related service providers to ensure consistency and effectiveness of student supports.
  • Communicate professionally with school staff, families, clinical teams, and agency supervisors while maintaining confidentiality and professional standards.
  • Participate in team meetings, training, supervision, and professional development opportunities to support student progress and continued growth.
  • Help maintain a safe, structured, inclusive, and supportive learning environment where students can participate and succeed.
