Job summary

Ro Health, LLC is hiring Substitute Behavior Technicians (BT) to support students for the 2026–2027 school year and beyond in Massachusetts districts. The position offers a substitute schedule, Monday–Friday, school hours, with pay ranging from $24–$27 per hour based on assignment and experience.

The BT role focuses on meaningful, student-centered work, with supervision and pathways for growth within the ABA field as Ro Health partners with districts across the state.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent is required.
  • Experience in ABA or supporting individuals with developmental needs preferred.
  • Ability to pass state and federal background checks.
  • Availability for Monday–Friday school hours.

Responsibilities

  • Provide 1:1 ABA-based behavior therapy.
  • Support goals in IEPs including behavior, social, and academic engagement.
  • Collect and document data on behavior and skills.
  • Help students develop independence during routines and transitions.
  • Reinforce positive behaviors and implement proactive strategies.
  • Communicate with educators, families, and supervisors while upholding confidentiality.
  • Attend team meetings and supervision.

What You’ll Do:
  • Provide 1:1 behavior therapy to students using Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA), implementing individualized treatment plans and Behavior Intervention Plans (BIPs) designed by a BCBA
  • Support students in achieving goals outlined in their Individualized Education Programs (IEPs), including behavior regulation, social skills, communication, and academic engagement
  • Collect and document accurate data on behavior and skill acquisition, and collaborate with BCBAs and school staff to adjust strategies as needed
  • Assist students in building independence across daily routines, classroom transitions, peer interactions, and learning activities
  • Reinforce positive behaviors and use proactive, evidence-based strategies to prevent or redirect challenging behaviors
  • Communicate professionally with educators, families, and agency supervisors while maintaining confidentiality and adhering to ethical guidelines
  • Participate in team meetings, training sessions, and supervision to support student progress and your continued development as an RBT
