Louisa-Muscatine Elementary is seeking Substitute Paraeducators to work with elementary, SPED and/or Junior High/High School students. An applicant with an Associate's Degree or higher, aparaeducator authorization issued by the Iowa Board of Educational Examiners or aNational Career Readiness Certificate is preferred, but not required.
Mandatory Reporter and First Aid Seizure Training is required and will be made available by the District. This position starts at $14 per hour.

JOB GOAL: Performs a variety of instructional and/or support duties to assist the school and teachers in instruction, supervision, and education of students.
PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES:
WORKING ENVIRONMENT
The usual and customary methods of performing the job's functions require the following physical demands: significant lifting, carrying, pushing, and/or pulling; frequent stooping, kneeling, crouching, and/or crawling; and significant fine finger dexterity.
Generally the job requires 50% sitting, 25% walking, and 25% standing. The job is performed under conditions with exposure to risk of injury and/or illness.
Occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
