Job summary

Louisa-Muscatine Elementary is seeking Substitute Paraeducators to work with elementary, SPED and/or Junior High/High School students. An applicant with an Associate's Degree or higher, aparaeducator authorization issued by the Iowa Board of Educational Examiners or aNational Career Readiness Certificate is preferred, but not required.

Mandatory Reporter and First Aid Seizure Training is required and will be made available by the District. This position starts at $14 per hour.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree or higher is preferred but not required.
• Paraeducator authorization or NCC preferred, not required.
• Mandatory Reporter and First Aid/Seizure Training will be provided.

Responsibilities

• Maintain confidentiality and flexibility while supporting teachers.
• Tutor students individually or in small groups as assigned.
• Reinforce and review concepts and skills.
• Assist with assessment, classroom management, and student growth.
• Supervise during lunch and recess and assist with daily tasks.
