Job summary

Winchester School District is seeking a Substitute Nurse for per diem assignments in grades pre-kindergarten to grade 6. The role involves taking care of students' routine office visits for illness and injury, administering daily medications, and providing diabetic care.

The ideal candidate must have an RN License and CPR/BLS certifications. While previous experience is preferred, it is not required. Substitute nurses are expected to arrive before the school day to review daily student care requirements.

Job Summary

Duties include taking care of students' routine office visits for illness and injury, daily medication passes, breathing assessment and administration of inhalers, diabetic care for hypo/hyperglycemia as well as insulin administration, etc. These are examples and should not be construed as an exhaustive list of care requirements.

Working Conditions

Nurses are assigned seven and a half hours and substitute nurses should plan to arrive prior to the start of the school day to review the sub binder for daily requirements related to student care.
