Southern Lehigh School District is seeking a Substitute Instructional Assistant for the 2026-2027 school year. The role supports students with special needs under certificated staff guidance, including one-on-one or small group work and behavior support following IEP goals.

Applicants must have an associate degree or 60 credits and/or a high school diploma with a PDE credential; background checks (ACT 34, ACT 114, ACT 151, ACT 24) within one year are required. Compensation: $17.80 per hour.

Qualifications

• Experience in educational settings preferred.
• Ability to follow IEP requirements and provide support accordingly.
• Background checks (ACT 34, ACT 114, ACT 151, ACT 24) within one year of issue.
• Must be able to assist with physical activities and student supervision.

Responsibilities

• Support students one-on-one or in groups as required by IEP.
• Assist with instructional programs and behavior support plans.
• Maintain safe, positive learning environment and monitor student progress.
• Communicate effectively with students, staff, parents and administrators.
• Adhere to confidentiality protocols and district procedures.
