Education/Certification

• High School Diploma or GED Equivalent, and
• Meet one of the requirements below:
• Have completed at least two (2) years of postsecondary study;
• Possess an associates degree or higher;
• Meet a rigorous standard of quality as demonstrated through a State or local assessment; or
• “ParaEducator Credential of Competency” as issued by PDE
  

Qualifications: Experience working in an educational setting, preferred.

All candidates are required to submit four clearances prior to employment. They include:

• Criminal Background Check (Act 34)
• Child Abuse Clearance (Act 151)
• FBI Criminal History Record (FBI)
