Job Summary
This position serves as administrative officer of the school, reporting directly to a Region Assistant Superintendent. As the principal of a school, the position provides educational, instructional, and operational leadership. The principal is the model of integrity and ethical behavior for staff, students, parents, and key stakeholders.
Responsibilities include providing leadership aligned and committed to the District’s 5-year Strategic Plan for the continual improvement of educational programs for all students; a commitment to equity and building a diverse school community; planning, organizing, coordinating, and evaluating programs and services within the school; maintaining positive staff relationships with all stakeholders of the Northshore School District; directing staffing and budgetary decisions, and maintaining commitment to the District’s mission statement.
Salary: $94.86/hour for daily assignments; long-term assignments DOE and paid according to the 2025-26 Northshore School Administrator (NASA) Salary Schedule.
Benefits: Washington state health insurance coverage (SEBB) and a Washington state retirement package, for eligible positions. Generally, you are eligible for SEBB benefits if you are anticipated to work at least 630 hours per school year (September 1 through August 31).
