Job summary

Jackson School District is hiring a part-time Custodian. Pay rate is $17.50 per hour with a flexible schedule up to 29 hours per week. No experience is necessary; training will be provided.

Applicants must have a valid NJ Driver's License. Duties include cleaning floors in classrooms, offices, and cafeterias; sweeping, mopping, vacuuming; cleaning and disinfecting restrooms; restocking paper and soap; removing trash; and other duties as assigned by the Custodial Foreman or Night Supervisor.

• No experience required; we will train.
• Must have valid NJ Driver's License.

Responsibilities

• Cleans floors of classrooms, offices, special rooms, corridors, stairs, entrances, lobbies and cafeteria, as assigned
• Sweeps, dry mops, wet mops, vacuums, floors
• Cleans and disinfects the drinking fountains, bathroom floors, bowls, seats, and urinals in restrooms on a daily basis as assigned
• Fills paper and soap dispensers in assigned areas, as needed
• Removes trash as assigned
• Ability to lift 75 pounds at least 20% of the time; bend, lift, squat, crawl, climb stairs and ladders, shovel snow, stand for long periods of time
• Performs other duties that may be assigned by the Custodial Foreman or Custodial Night Supervisor
