Job summary

Sylvania is seeking Custodians – Substitutes for casual, part-time shifts (late afternoon to early evening) at ESC – Buildings & Grounds. Responsibilities include cleaning school premises and a range of related duties in a school setting.

Minimum age 16, able to work in the buildings, and capable of lifting up to 50 pounds occasionally and 25 pounds frequently. Pay is $20.30 per hour, with shifts as needed.

Qualifications

• Minimum age 16.
• Must physically be working in the buildings/site.
• Ability to perform position responsibilities including physical factors, work devices, and materials handling, data functions, and people functions.
• Occasional to Frequent: lifting, pulling, pushing, and carrying materials weighing up to 50 pounds.
• Frequent to Constant: lifting, pulling, pushing, and carrying materials weighing up to 25 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Ensure the cleanliness and orderliness of school premises.
• Perform a range of cleaning duties, including but not limited to: Empty trash and recycling containers.
• Sweep, mop, and scrub floors.
• Vacuum and operate other cleaning equipment.
• Sanitize and restock restroom facilities.
• Clean windows, doors, and mirrors.
