Job Description

Substitute employees will be notified of available substitute assignments on an as‑needed basis to fill in for absent staff. Hours and the frequency of assignments will vary depending on district staffing needs, employee absences, and the substitute's availability.

Background & Physical Requirements

• Must pass DCI criminal history background check.
• Must meet prework physical requirements.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Demonstrated aptitude for the work to be performed.
• Ability to lift up to 100 pounds.
• Ability to read and comprehend directions for use of cleaning chemicals.
• Ability to understand and carry out mandatory federal regulations.
• Alternative qualifications as determined by the Board.
• Ability to follow policies and practices.

• HR will send the DCI Background check form to the applicant.
• Upon approval, the applicant will receive information about the substitute onboarding process.
