Primary Function: Custodian perform custodial work with minimal supervision, assisting with routine cleaning and upkeep of buildings. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, cleaning of carpeted, tile, wood, and other floor surfaces; dusting, cleaning, waxing, and moving furniture; cleaning doors, fixtures, and glass surfaces including windows and framed pictures; cleaning and disinfecting lavatories, restrooms, and locker rooms; collecting trash, flattening boxes, and placing them into a dumpster; loading and unloading shipments of supplies, materials, and equipment; and light groundskeeping, such as raking, planting, and trimming plants and shrubs.

Minimum Qualifications: Minimum 17 years of age; ability to properly use all types of commercial vacuum cleaners, stripping and buffing machines, and any special tools or equipment assigned; ability to lift up to 25 lbs; capable of performing essential functions independently; able to follow directions and assist co-workers as needed. High school and college students are encouraged to apply.
