When you work in Hawaii, in addition to learning about the functional aspects of running a hotel — like the proper way to make a bed or how to best handle luggage — it’s critically important to understand Hawaiian culture and the spirit of ‘ohana, or ‘family.’ When opening the first Andaz property in Hawaii, our team participated in Hawaiian culture training to help us understand what ‘ohana truly means.
The Club Lounge Attendant is responsible for assisting in providing the highest quality service possible to guests while maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness and sanitation throughout the hours of operation. The Club Lounge Attendant must ensure that all tables are kept clean and presentable with clean china, glassware, silverware, and linen, as well as maintaining proper display of food items.
Qualifications
Physical requirements:
- Flexible and long hours sometimes required.
- Heavy work - Exerting up to 40 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 20 pounds of force constantly to lift, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move objects.
- Ability to stand during entire shift.

- Handle problems effectively, including anticipating, preventing, identifying, and solving issues.

- Maintain confidentiality of information.
- Show initiative, including anticipating guest or operational needs.
- Perform other duties as requested by management.
- Maintain a friendly and warm demeanor at all times.
- Be attentive, friendly, helpful, and courteous to guests, managers, and colleagues.
- Greet, interact with, and service guests appropriately.
- Keep all work areas clean and stocked according to current meal periods.
- Clean/clear tables and follow safety and sanitation procedures.
- Receive, organize, and restock inventory.
- Set and maintain tables according to standards.
- Break down trays of soiled dishes and linen in the dish room area.
- Refill beverages, bus tables, and promptly address guest requests.
- Complete daily opening and closing duties and cleaning tasks.
- Mop/sweep spills as needed.
- Clean pantry, equipment, and remove trash in lounge and pantry areas.
- Answer phone courteously and efficiently.
- Assist colleagues as needed during the shift.
- Provide table service, including self-bussing.
- Brew coffee and refresh food and beverage products in the lounge.
- Perform general cleaning of the space and place requisitions for lounge items.
- Track product consumption daily.
- Maintain and clean the buffet, and set up and replenish food offerings as needed.
- Perform pre-assembly and warming of food and snacks.
- Coordinate with stewarding on duties for china, glass, silverware, and tools.
- Assist with receiving, organizing, and restocking inventory.
- Ensure overall guest satisfaction.
Salary Range: $30.35 to $40.47 per hour
