Job summary

Spectrum 360 A NJ Non Profit Corp. is seeking a Substitute Classroom Assistant to support a certified teacher in a developmentally appropriate classroom setting. You will step in during the regular assistant's absence and help with activities, health and safety of the children.

The role emphasizes teamwork, flexibility, and a willingness to work with students with autism or disabilities; prior related experience is preferred, and lifting may be required.

Qualifications

• Prior experience working with autistic and/or students with disabilities preferred.
• Ability to lift.

Responsibilities

• To replace the regularly appointed assistant in his/her absence.
• To assist the certified teacher and cooperate in a supportive role carrying out developmentally appropriate activities.
• Promote the health and education of the children and to attend to their safety and welfare.
