Job summary

South Kitsap School District is seeking a Substitute Certificated School Nurse to cover absent school nurses across the district. The roleReportsTo the Building Principal and operates within the Office of Special Services in Port Orchard, Washington.

Beginning as a substitute RN, you will provide health services, maintain required documentation, and participate in the district’s commitment to safe, inclusive student care. The position offers per diem pay and flexible hours.

Qualifications

  • BS in Nursing and WA RN License required.
  • Ability to obtain WA ESA Nurse Certificate and CPR/First Aid Certification.

Comments: Rates are $100.00 for 1/2 days and $200.00 for full days.

Summary:

We are seeking qualified applicants for the Substitute Registered Nurse (RN) position to provide coverage for absent School Nurses throughout the school district.
Health Services Applicant Process

  • Qualified applicants will be contacted by the Director of Office of Special Services for an interview.
  • Upon recommendation for hire, candidates will be contacted by Human Resources to complete hiring paperwork, obtain fingerprints for a background check, and complete the required online Substitute New Hire Orientation.

Minimum Requirements

  • BS in Nursing and Washington State RN License
  • Ability to obtain a Washington State ESA Nurse Certificate and CPR/First Aid Certification
  • Completed application with reference surveys from three professional references (supervisors)
  • Unofficial transcripts for the application process; official transcripts required upon offer
