Job summary

Spectrum 360 A NJ Non Profit Corp. seeks a Substitute Corridor Aide to support the safety and orderly flow of the school day. The role involves patrolling halls, supervising students, and assisting with dismissal under the direction of the Academy Administrator.

Candidates should be a High School graduate with strong interpersonal skills, experience with adolescents, and the ability to meet job goals. A completed background check and TB test are required.

Qualifications

• High School Graduate or equivalent.
• Aptitude for meeting job goals and achieving tasks.
• Experience working with adolescent children is preferred.
• Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to communicate with students and staff.
• Background check and TB test required.

Responsibilities

• Patrols school buildings, corridors, lavatories and grounds to deter disruptions and security threats.
• Inspects doors, windows and gates to ensure they are secured.
• Meets unauthorized persons and escorts them to the main office.
• Reports unusual conditions regarding student behavior or building issues.
• Monitors school grounds and parking areas as assigned.
• Establishes rapport with administration, staff and students.
• Encourages positive student conduct and participation in programs.
• Maintains confidentiality of student disciplinary outcomes.
• Performs bus or dismissal duties as assigned.
• Performs other duties as assigned by supervisor or Superintendent.
