Spectrum 360 A NJ Non Profit Corp. seeks a Substitute Corridor Aide to help ensure the safety and orderly operation for the District 2026-2027 school year.

The role involves patrolling halls, monitoring access, and assisting administrators while supporting students and staff. Responsibilities include conducting security checks, escorting unauthorized individuals to the main office, supervising bus/dismissal and maintaining confidentiality of student information.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Patrols school buildings, corridors, lavatories and grounds to assist in the prevention of disruptions, theft, vandalism, and unauthorized entry.
• Inspects doors, windows and gates to ensure security.
• Meets unauthorized persons and escorts them to the main office.
• Reports unusual conditions regarding student behavior or building issues.
• Monitors grounds and parking areas; maintains confidentiality of student information.
• Performs bus or dismissal duties as assigned.
• Performs other duties as directed by supervisor or Superintendent; background check and TB test required.

REPORTS TO:

Academy Administrator or their designee

ESSENTIAL FUNCTION:

This person is responsible for the security and protection of students, staff, and property and must be able to walk around the building and go up and down stairs.

EVALUATION:

Evaluated in writing by the Academy Administrator

PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Patrols school buildings, corridors, lavatories and grounds to assist in the prevention of student disruptions, fire, theft, vandalism, and illegal entry.
2. Conducts inspections of doors, windows and gates to determine that they are secure.
3. Meets unauthorized persons and escorts them to the main office.
4. Reports any unusual conditions regarding student behavior, movement through halls or building problems.
5. Monitors school grounds and parking lots
6. Establishes and maintains rapport with administration, staff and students.
7. Encourages students to participate in the educational program to improve behavior in a positive manner.
8. Maintains high levels of confidentiality with regard to all student disciplinary outcomes.
9. Performs bus or dismissal duties as assigned.
10. *This position requires a completed background check for the Long Branch Public School District, as well as a negative TB test result taken within the past two years*
11. Performs other duties that are assigned by the immediate supervisor, the Superintendent of Schools or his designee.
