The ideal candidate has a High School Diploma, strong interpersonal skills, and experience working with adolescents. A completed background check and TB test are required within the past two years.

Responsibilities

• Patrols school buildings, corridors, lavatories and grounds to assist in preventing student disruptions, fire, theft, vandalism and illegal entry.
• Conducts inspections of doors, windows and gates to determine security.
• Meets unauthorized persons and escorts them to the main office.
• Reports unusual conditions regarding student behavior or building problems.
• Monitors school grounds and parking lots.
• Establishes rapport with administration, staff and students.
• Encourages students to participate in the educational program to improve behavior.
• Maintains confidentiality of student disciplinary outcomes.
• Performs bus or dismissal duties as assigned.
