Join Delaware Schools Consortium is seeking a Substitute Cafeteria Worker to assist the Cafeteria Manager in delivering a high quality cafeteria experience for students. You will support monitors, cashiers, and kitchen staff, while maintaining compliance with health and safety standards.

The role requires strong communication, organization, and physical stamina. You will help ensure orderly service, correct meal payments, and adherence to all guidelines, contributing to a positive school dining

Qualifications

Ability to communicate clearly both verbally and in writing.
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines in a school cafeteria setting.
Sound decision making within established guidelines.
Physical ability to lift up to 48 pounds and stand for extended periods.

Responsibilities

Assist Cafeteria Manager to ensure compliance with local, state and federal guidelines while preparing and serving meals.
Support Cafeteria Monitor, Cashier, and Kitchen Staff as needed.
Maintain cleanliness and safety in food prep and serving areas.
Record meal payments and assist with inventory, as directed by management.
